“We did not go to the Holy City, or frequent
synagogues regularly,
We prayed once a week
sometimes not even in Hebrew
In this land so Holy,
that one which only now, in retrospect, I understand.
I experienced God in every sight, movement, and
person.
God was present in the
bright, blue, breathtaking water of Eilat,
God was present on the shore of the holy land, almost
touching the banks of neighboring Jordan and Egypt.
God was present in our last Shabbat-
as we floated down the Kenneret at sundown, with
new Israeli friends and water so soft and calm, like
silk on my skin,
and the chatter of accents so comforting, and
laughter filled with a joy for life that
I still carry with me every time I think of Manhigut
Esrei.
This is what G-d must feel like…
I did not pray in ways that I am used to
but I felt God in everyday life.
I will not forget what it feels like to connect with
God and I am grateful for this opportunity.” |

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
oh a happier note i had this like 2 hour talk with the isreali guy last night...all in hebrew. he told me all about his work and his life..and i told him about mine. and suprisingly (good suprisingly) he did not try and get on me. it was really nice.
